Case Study #6 for Operational Forecasting Services
A contract snow removal company subscribes to Weather Command’s third party certified snow reports for his clients’ locations. After a significant snowfall event he invoiced all of his clients for services rendered. One of those clients called him and refused to pay the invoiced amount. The client claimed only 6 inches of snow fell on his property and he was being charged for the removal of over 8 inches of snow. The contract snow removal service checked Weather Command’s snow report. It indicated a measurement of 9.5 inches of snow in the community where his client was located. A copy of this report was sent to the client and the client subsequently paid the entire invoice.
