Case Study #2 for Meteorological and Ambient Air Monitoring
Opacity Audits
Fossil Fuel electric generating facilities are required to monitor stack opacity (visual emissions) using continuous opacity monitoring systems (COMS).
One utility client wanted to replace two separate opacity monitoring systems with one, on a new main stack. Our staff worked with the primary construction contractor in relocating the opacity monitor. We completed the performance testing at the new location and the opacity monitor was put in service. Murray and Trettel, Inc. continues to work with this client to provide routine quarterly audit and technical services.
