Case Study #1 for Meteorological Equipment
Installation of Meteorological Monitoring Tower for Fugitive Dust Control Measures
The Government mandated a steel production plant to document their fugitive dust control measures. The plant asked Murray and Trettel to purchase and install a 10 meter meteorological monitoring tower to monitor wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure and precipitation.
Data is provided directly to the plant control room and also stored in a data logger. The data logger is interrogated at routine intervals. The data is reviewed and Quality Controlled by Murray and Trettel Environmental Meteorologists. The data is provided to the client in report format on a monthly basis.
The Field Services staff performs semi-annual calibrations of the meteorological monitoring equipment and non-routine equipment maintenance.
