Wind Data and Analysis for Wind Energy Generation
The evaluation of existing wind resources is critical in estimating wind turbine electric generation at a given site. Energy production from wind is proportional to the cube of its speed.
A wind rose and a site survey were requested for determining the proper location for a wind power generation site. Where site-specific wind data is unavailable, data from the closest location that is geographically similar can be utilized.
Murray and Trettel has assisted in determining the preferred location for wind energy turbines. Murray and Trettel meteorologists can perform site visits to help determine the optimal site based upon specific siting criteria.
Wind data can be generated indicating average wind speed at any / all directions and also provide detailed information based upon season, time of day, etc
